It’s finally going to happen! We’ve been threatening all these years to put out a Christmas album and this year we pulled out all the stops to make it happen. It isn’t ready QUITE yet (check this space often…we’re targeting the 1st week in December), but we can tell you a little something about it.
Last year we polled our fans about what kind of mix they wanted on a “potential” Christmas Album. The result was a mix of primarily period (pre-1600) and traditional (mostly 17th-19th century). So that’s what we did. There are a few modern tunes, including two original songs, Gifts of Midwinter and Drink to the Holly Berry.
We don’t want to spoil the surprise by announcing every song though;). So you’ll just have to wait a few weeks to find out what other songs are going to be on the CD. One last hint: we didn’t want it to be just another Christmas album with all the same songs you hear every year. Sure, there will be a few favorites and familiars, but there will be plenty of fresh (if a 500 year-old-song can be called that) music as well.
We’ll post updates here and on our Facebook and Twitter pages. So check back every day! Even we don’t know when it will be done.
Happy Holidays!
