Putting the last song in the can today! The Ken and Lisa Theriot Xmas album,”The Gifts of Midwinter,” is nearly here! We aren’t putting a date and time on it, but watch this space frequently starting tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec 14th). I’m just sayin’;).

Not out yet…as of 11:55 am (Central) on December 15th. And I just checked again, but nope; still not out:).
Here’s the status. We have finished recording all the songs and the initial mixing/mastering stage is complete. We need to inspect the test CD in, like, a minute after I submit this reply for any oddities in how the songs fit together (timing, relative volume, etc.) as well as catch any last-minute things that need to be fixed. That process will be done this afternoon. We will have the music available digitally (he says with fingers crossed) tonight! The actual CD won’t be available until probably early next week.

We listened to every song yesterday with hyper-critical ears, made lots of notes for needed edits, and made the 1st-pass tweaks. We are doing the second critical listening session this morning and will make more tweaks today. Luckily we are both anal-retentive perfectionists and want this to be great (otherwise we’d drive each other nuts;)). I promise you that it will be worth the wait;). I’m once again aiming at making the digital (downloadable) version of the album available starting tonight. The physical CD will be a few more days after that due to manufacture and distributing needs.
But soon…..VERY soon!
